SQL Server Database
At the heart of the Xeno Server is an instance of Microsoft's SQL Server. We tend to use the Express version (which is free) in order to keep licensing costs to a minimum. Full SQL Server can be used if it is required. Using a modern database ensures that our system is scalable, robust and feature rich. We allow customers to interact with the database in order to collect their data. This can be done via SQL or an applicaiton, such as Excel.
The X-Control application is our Windows program that provides an interface to the X-Server's configuration and logging. The program allows all components of the X-Server to be configured. All data held in the database can be viewed and in some cases edited. All components of the X-Server log events to the database. These events can be viewed, filtered and output using the X-Control.
The X-Pull is a Windows service that collects data from multiple sources. The communication is initiated by the X-Pull service and can be limited to only collect data at specified times. Data can be collected from Irisys counters, Brickstream cameras, Optex Akrbios and other people counters and ANPR/ALPR systems. The X-Pull service also acts as an FTP server, thereby allowing other systems to push data to the X-Server.
The X-Pull is a Windows service that collects data from multiple sources. Communication is initiated by the device from which the X-Server is to collect from. The S-Push service is permanently listening for new connections. This technique is used when it is necessary to send data from behind a firewall. Brickstream, Irisys and PointSix counters support data pushing.
We provide several reporting options. We can host your reporting on our cloud web server, you can host it on your server  or you can install it on your customer's server. There is no need for Internet access if the users are viewing reports on the same network as the X-Server. We also have real-time display software that can be used on a small installation. We are happy to brand our reporting to your corporate style. Click here for more information about our reporting.
The Delivery component is a Windows service that can be scheduled to output data in your format. Typically data output is performed in CSV or XML, but we can tailor this to your exact requirements. We can also deliver this data over FTP or email.

Features of the X-Server
Keep track in real time
Xenometric systems collect and report data as close to real time as the source allows. All data is immediately available in the database and can be viewed by our web reporting package or by data output.
Our software is both simple to install and use. Professional install packages, backed up with full documentation, make installing Xenometric software a painless process.
Xenometric's core software runs as Windows services. This means they are securely running as long as the host computer is powered. If there is a loss of power our software will collect all missing data without intervention. Database backups are automatically created on a scheduled basis.
All our software can be easily translated into any language. Xenometric's system is locale aware and will convert counters' GMT data to your local time.
Xenometric's products are always being improved. New features are being added and any problems fixed in a timely manner. Our products are heavily tested by us, third parties and customers. We endeavour to provide our customers with the highest levels of support possible.
Xenometric systems are built using Microsoft's SQL Server database. Our reporting pages can be viewed using all major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome).
